My version of Arakune from Blazblue (yupe, the same game that features Rachel Alucard).
Since I thought the original wasn’t intimidating enough, I gave him a scarier look (which looks like Venom now, I guess?). I drew the mouth with mix references from Violator from Spawn and Venom (of course). Oh yeah, I used to read Spawn.
Wanted to draw a background, but I was scared it might screw the drawing up.

That looks awesome. It’s kind of like venom and the nameless thing from Spirited Away (the mask). I like this, it’s very macabre. If you need to do background I suggest to thin the lineweights so they don’t distract the subject in the foreground. Otherwise this on its own looks pretty complete.
